It took some time and quite a few comments from family, friends, and strangers, but I did finally manage to chop off a good amount of his curly locks. He looks so grown up and handsome with his shorter, more tamed, do!
Jack seems to deal with the summer heat by sleeping. Almost daily I catch him slipping into dreamland right around dinnertime. This creates quite a dilemma for me...Jack isn't the type of kid you want to wake from a nap, but you also don't want him wide awake at 11:30 at night!

I love his cute little locks either way. He is such a beautiful little boy! I love his little pouty lips when he sleeps!
